Maybe we should just stick to fireworks after all.

In recent years, some people have seen the pollution and potential danger caused by fireworks and thought, “There’s got to be a better way!”

One of the answers these people have come up with is drone shows. This is where a bunch of drones equipped with lights are programmed to do a specific demonstration, such as emulate fireworks or light up a massive picture of Steve Harvey. 

Such shows can be pretty cool — that is, until a gust of wind knocks these babies out of the air. This appears to be what happened in this video taken in China. There’s also some speculation that they were taken down by anti-drone technology, but I’m gonna stick to the weather explanation.
